Last week, we reported that the Green Rubber Company was creating unique recycled products out of scrap tires.  Tire manufacturer Yokohama has pushed the envelope a little farther by manufacturing a tire from a proprietary mix of orange oil and natural rubber - the Super E-spec tire.  This is not only  great shift away from petroleum based alternatives, Yokoham’s tires have 20% better gripping power than standard tires.  While Yokohama is building tires to meet the demands of Hybrid vehicles, like the Toyota Prius, Camry and the Honda Civic, we’re sure market demand will “squeeze” other sizes out of them.
