ReMark is NOT made from a petroleum based plastic. While it looks and performs like traditional plastic stick pen, it's not petroleum based at all.
ReMark is composed of Wood (or cotton) based Cellulose Acetate polymer and plant based plasticizer.
We hope to make the term "disposable pen" a thing of past. We're asking our customers to save their old ReMark pens after they run out of ink. When your office has finished a box of them, send them back to us. We'll grind them up and make new pens out of them.
Be wary of other "eco pens" on the market making similar claims. Our cellulose polymer in our ReMark is much more durable than pens made of corn based plastics, which tend to be more susceptible to breaking. Even recycled plastic pens end up in a landfill because they are difficult to recycle.
